FAQ About Pembroke Welsh Corgi's
1. What kind of temperament and personality does the Pembroke Welsh Corgi have?
-Spirited, athletic, steady, dependable, hearding dog, obedience, and agility. Pembroke's are very intelligent dogs and are usually ginding something to do. Corgi's can be serious barkers though, although make a good watchdog and are always alert.
In addition, most Pembroke's are great with other family pets, but can get very territorial when strange people, dogs, and cats come about. This attentive breed learns very quckly and does respond well to obedience training.
2. Is there a cost difference between males and females? colors/fluffies?
-No, there is not a cost difference. Cost difference is only with parentage.
3. Do you ever have fluffies?
-Yes, and their price is no different than a regular coat pembroke welsh corgi.
4. Can I wait until after puppies are born to decide I want to put a deposit on the puppy?
-Yes, however there is no guarentee you will get a puppy out of the litter, our waitlist chooses first.
5. How does the waitlist work?
- 1st deposit has 1st choice of the litter, 2nd has 2nd choice of the litter and so on.
6. How do I get on the waitinglist?
-You must read and agree to the contract, sending us a copy of your signature for the nonrefundable deposit, then fill out the client questions with your email and we will invoice you for your deposit.
7. Do you ever have adult corgis that you retire and will rehome?
-Yes, occasionally we will.
8. How long have you been breeding Corgis?
-Over 20 years.
9. Are we allowed to come visit?
Yes, of course. Just let us know what time and day you would like to visit.
10. Are we allowed to come and see our puppy before we take him home?
-Yes. Also by appointment.
11. Are the puppies genetically tested?
-All of our puppies are DM clear or DM carriers by parentage. They are all VWD clear and EIC clear.
12. At what age should we spay and neuter our corgi?
-Around 6 months of age.
13. Will they have vaccines?
-Yes, all puppies will have 2 sets of vaccines by the time they are ready to go home. They will also be microchipped and dewormed.
14. Can I choose which litter I want to be on?
Yes you can.
15. Will they be housebroken?
-No, since they are so young we do not take them outside. They will be puppypad trained and litterbox trained so it is easier to housebreak them once they go home.
16. Do parents have issues with hips or other health problems?
No, none of our adults or puppies have had minor or major health problems. Hips have not caused a problem for our corgis either.
